Chapter 02: Our Story
CIS was born in Johannesburg out of a simple conviction: South African organisations deserve elite-grade security. We built it from scratch.
// If you know us, it's because someone loves you.
George-Paulo Lange founded Cyber Intelligent Systems after seeing firsthand how mid-market organisations were being devastated by threats their IT teams couldn't handle alone. He knew there was a better way.
CIS assembled a team of battle-tested analysts, ethical hackers, and forensic investigators: practitioners who had spent years inside some of the toughest environments in Africa. No generalists. No off-the-shelf thinking.
We launched our flagship community initiative: taking hands-on cybersecurity training to underserved communities across South Africa. Access, not just expertise. We travel to where the talent is.
Today, CIS operates a 24/7 SOC, deploys red teams across the continent, and trains the next generation of African security professionals. The mission hasn't changed. Only the scale.
